一阵风，一阵雨，满城中落花飞絮。纱窗外蓦然闻杜宇，一声声唤回春去。
云笼月，风弄铁，两般儿助人凄切。剔银灯欲将心事写，长吁气一声欲灭。
磨龙墨，染兔毫，倩花笺欲传音耗。真写到半张却带草，叙寒温不知个颠倒。
从别后，音信绝，薄情种害煞人也。逢一个见一个因话不说，不信你耳轮儿不热。

Thin clouds are creating works delicate;
Falling stars carry sorrows deep.
Over the vast, vast Milky Way,
Cowherd and Weaving Girl quietly meet.
Meeting in such a clear and sweet autumn night,
The rendezvous outshines many a worldly date.
Tenderness flows in the soul’s retreat;
Sweet hours melt their hearts away.
The short-lived Magpie Bridge is unbearable to see,
For on the magpie-paved bridge parting comes in haste.
Ah, so long as love keeps,
What differs, missing each other day after day!
